We are Delicious Morsel.

When I founded Delicious Morsel last year, during the initial AppStore craze, I had one goal in mind. Make mobile applications. Since last year, we've released 4 iPhone applications and even had one permanently rejected for causing probable harm to an iPhone (it was named iFrisbee). We've even built a handful of iPhone applications and their server-side backends, for a couple local Utah companies.
Looking back on the applications we have currently available on the AppStore, we feel like we've contributed to the bloating problem of the AppStore. We feel we may have made some of the uglier applications and we will be changing that soon.
We've recently partnered up with one of the best user-interaction designers in Utah. With his amazing skills to not only design rich and elegant interfaces, but also fluid application experiences, we expect to have some amazing applications, beginning with Palm's WebOS.
We've been asked many times, why WebOS?
Since I am first and foremost, a web applications developer, writing applications with HTML and JavaScript was a nice opportunity to be able to create some great applications quickly and beautiful interfaces with WebOS and WebKit.
One of the great things about WebOS, is that it is still in it's infancy. We can make our footprint easily and we feel we already have. None of our applications have hit Palm's AppCatalog, due to some issues on their part, yet I still get countless emails from users of my applications, hoping to get the full version of our applications.
This week we expect to have Twee (and TweeFree) to finally hit the AppCatalog. We are pretty excited for this, since it has been a long time coming. We are still a bit skeptical, since Palm has given us many different release timelines and they come and pass, with Palm telling us of an issue they had, sometimes they make sense, sometimes they are laughable.
One thing is for sure, we are discouraged with the process that Palm has and feel it is severely limiting our ability to deliver a great application to our user base. We have kept quiet with some of the things we've had to experience, because we want to believe in Palm. We like to give them the benefit of the doubt and foster a positive long-term relation with them.
As of now, we are halting all development of new applications on the WebOS platform due to these issues. We will be updating our WootOn! app for the iPhone platform and come back to re-evaluate Palm's process and hope that we can continue new development for their platform. We will continue to maintain our active projects on WebOS (Twee, Feeds, WootOn! +1 other) but until Palm steps up it's game, we don't plan on any more new apps.
